West Cobb Dental Designs uses digital dental X-Rays technology to provide superior dental care and more accurate diagnoses. The process of digitally capturing an image is much faster, safer with lower radiation and more comfortable for the patient.

How Digital Dental X-Rays Work
We place a film that is softer and more comfortable than “old fashioned” film in your mouth. This film is then scanned into our dental software imaging program that is located on our computer. Within minutes, your dental x-rays are available for you and the dentist to view on our TV monitors located in every treatment room.  We also have the ability to take a Panorex film in the same fashion.  With this film, the Panorex film, we can see if there are any tumors, dental anomalies or if your wisdom teeth are positioned correctly or would need to come out.  Both types of films are stored on our computer system and can easily be easily electronically sent to your insurance company or a specialist.

Why Digital Dental X-Rays are Better
The digital dental X-ray system is more sensitive than dental X-ray film systems, so your exposure to X-rays is cut by as much as 90 percent. The large, color-enhanced images let you see what your dentist sees, so it's easier for you to understand how your dentist will treat your teeth.
